Heather founded Nutritious Habits in 2020 after her own globe-trotting health improvement journey over more than ten years. She provides her clients with the right tools, encouragement and accountability so crash diets and zero-sum compensative exercise are a thing of the past.
Heather and husband Mark are parents of three kids aged 19, 17 and 12 and have raised their family across four continents. Each international move opened doors to new culinary and movement mavens, revealing insights and opportunities to study and practice inspiring approaches to nutrition, movement, wellness and sustainability.
Habits, good or bad, are behaviors we routinely, often subconsciously execute after lots of practice. Most people have an abundance of health and fitness knowledge. Where they fall short is in the hard work of consistent action to break old habits and form new ones. This is not a quick fix! Nutritious Habits is your partner in vibrant health for a lifetime.
Heather is based in Mercer Island, WA and has a special interest in aging well: where health-span matches lifespan and chronic disease is not inevitable. She holds Precision Nutrition Level 1, Intermittent Fasting and Plant-Based Eating health coaching certifications, NASM Certified Personal Trainer and is a registered Yoga Alliance 200-yr yoga teacher. She earned her BA Communications at the University of Washington. As a forever-student and practitioner of nutrition, movement, wellness and sustainability, she has learned to embrace a beginner's mindset and is always practicing-- and failing at, and sometimes winning-- a new skill of some kind.
